Wesley Bryan Crow, Jr. - WWII

  Lt. Wesley Bryan "Dub" Crow, Jr. 
Monahans, TX
 Born 1-20-1920  Died 6-1-1999


Enlisted in Arizona and flew a P- 38 fighter.  His parent unit was  0014, Group 6.  He was flying in Area 98  Italy on April 7, 1944, when he was shot down.  He was in the North I compound of Stalag Luft I. He was married and had 2 daughters upon his return. His family is  looking for more information.  If you can help please click here to send email to his family.

 

   

His cousin tells a story of when she was studying German in college he came over to visit just as she was listening to some assigned language records.  Dub walked in the house and upon hearing the German language walked right through the house, out the kitchen door and began vomiting. His cousin says whenever she would try to ask him about his experiences he would just say, "You don't want to know."
